Chief Representative, Vietnam
Roles and Responsibilities
The Chief Representative should possess dynamic capabilities and network. Being based in Vietnam, reporting to the Managing Director, in charge of the day-to-day operations of the Vietnam office and ongoing business activities. He/She is responsible for driving the Company’s growth and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. He/She is expected to work closely with the Singapore headquarters and report on market research/analysis to share his/her recommended insights.

Job duties
Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute marketing and business strategies aligned with the Company’s goals in Vietnam for targeted market segments.
  • Work closely with the Management, Department Heads and Person-In-Charge of this project to share on-the-ground and critical business information, such as legal compliance matters, market insights, leads and recommendations.
  • Participate in and perform analysis of business opportunities, potential client needs.

Maintain Relationship

  • Build and maintain relationships with our existing customers, stakeholders, government officials, regulatory bodies and relevant authorities to ensure compliance.
  • Relay contact information of customers and/ or suppliers who are interested in doing business with the Head Office

Market Research and Analysis

  • Conduct market research to understand local trends in Vietnam in relevance to the current economic situation, related investments, marketing and demand for services and competition in relevant market segments.
  • Analyse and formulate countermeasures for the business competitive strategy

Representation

  • Act as the face of the organisation in Vietnam, representing the Company’s interests, values, and goals to customers, stakeholders and public if any.
  • Help to source for goods and supplies as required.

Risk Management

  • Check and control quality and quantity of secondary materials to be purchased in Vietnam.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with operations in Vietnam, including legal, financial, and reputational risks.

Government and Regulatory Compliance

  • Study and understand Vietnam statutory law and regulations, in particular tax and export related.

Team Management

  • Manage and oversee administration of the Representative Office.
  • Lead and manage local team, ensuring cohesion and alignment with the Company’s objectives and goals for Vietnam.

Financial Acumen

  • Prepare and manage operational budget projection forecast, expenses and adherence to financial targets.

Any other ad-hoc duties required.

Job Requirement

  • Minimum Degree in any field, preferably business related.
  • Proficiency in English and Vietnamese, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and convey information on a timely basis.
  • Possess an inquisitive mind with strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to align local strategies with company objectives.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify and capitalise on business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and expand the company’s presence within the Vietnamese market.

Other information

  • Working hours: 8:30 to 5:30 Monday to Friday
  • Working place: District 3, HCMc
  • Probationary period of 3 months (100% salary)
  • Full salary social insurance
  • Salary range: 45 – 50 million gross
  • Allowances and benefits: Depending on ability and company policy after probationary period
  • Occasional business trips abroad, rarely overtime.
